Service, as it should appear
- “Served about a decade in the U.S. Navy, including about six years with the SEAL Teams.”
- “Navy SEAL veteran” or “former U.S. Navy SEAL” are both accurate.
- Please don’t describe his SEAL service as a decade or longer; the decade is his total Navy service.
- Unit and record: SEAL Team 4; two combat deployments to Iraq; two Combat Action Ribbons, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, five Navy Achievement Medals.
