Navy SEAL veteran, founder and president of VETTED in Troy, Michigan, and founder of The Veteran Muster. Evan speaks to service clubs, senior living communities, veteran organizations and Veterans Day programs in metro Detroit, and joins radio and podcast panels on veterans’ issues.
About Evan Shelline
Evan Shelline joined the U.S. Navy after September 11, 2001, completed BUD/S and served about a decade in uniform, including about six years with the SEAL Teams. With SEAL Team 4 he made two combat deployments to Iraq. His awards include two Combat Action Ribbons, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Navy Commendation Medal and five Navy Achievement Medals.
After the Navy, Evan worked in maritime security and counter-piracy, where he directed more than 60 vessel protection operations without a security incident. In 2024 he founded VETTED, a service-disabled veteran-owned small business in Troy, Michigan, and he leads it today as founder and president.
Close to home, Evan founded The Veteran Muster: All Present and Accounted For, a veterans-only gathering held in senior living communities across Southeast Michigan. He chairs the Veteran Advisory Committee at Lily Hospice, is Senior Vice Commander of Sgt. Stanley F. Romanowski VFW Post 6896, and is a father of four.
